This campus has 370+ beds and is known for winning their Patient Safety Awards and is on the cusp of announcing their recent Magnet Designation! They are looking for a Transplant Manager to join their team. With nearly 11,000 solid organ transplants, they have established a reputation for excellence and innovation in patient care and research.

This Transplant Manager will have oversight of 57 FTEs on a 27-bed unit. They will report to the Director of Nursing who is an authentic, transformational leader who wants someone who is strategic with change and supportive of innovation. This leader needs to take initiative with the program to continue their stellar growth mode.

The transplant program provides liver, kidney, living donor kidney, islet cell and pancreas transplants making them the only center in the Texas region with this capability. As one of the busiest multi-specialty transplant centers in the world, they have performed more than 510 liver transplants and 1,346 kidney transplants, making them the highest volume center in area.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

Education:

  • Bachelors in Nursing - Required
  • Licenses and/or Certifications (Required and Preferred):
    • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas

Related Work Experience and Other Skills:

  • Work Experience: MUST have five years’ experience, three years in clinical nurse leadership.
  • Must have Inpatient Transplant Experience
