As the largest not-for-profit healthcare system in Texas and one of the largest in the United States, this system includes 52 hospitals, more than 800 patient care sites, more than 7,300 active physicians, and over 49,000 employees. This campus has 140+ beds and is a certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center, a certified Chest Pain Center, and a Level III Trauma Center. Additionally, they have achieved the American Nurses Credentialing Center Pathway to Excellence Designation.
This Acute Care Director will have oversight of two units (Med Surg and IMCU) which totals just under 90 beds. They will report to the CNO who is a servant leader, who is not afraid to work alongside her team and wants them to be accountable and hold her accountable, as well! She will always be transparent with you, so there is no guesswork on where her strategy is at.
This person will have 150 total FTEs with managers to support them. They want a leader who can continue to grow employee engagement which is in the 90th percentile and focus on retention. Their patient satisfaction scores are outstanding but can always be improved upon.
